Instructions
Lay out the support brace and familiarize yourself with its components – straps, fasteners, and padding.
2.Gently lead your Golden Retriever to a comfortable and quiet space where you can assist them without distractions.
If your dog is nervous or unfamiliar with the brace, offer treats and positive reinforcement to create a positive association.
3.Lift the affected leg of your dog and place the brace underneath, making sure the padded section rests comfortably against their leg.
Adjust the brace so that the open end is positioned around the upper part of the leg, just below the hip joint.
Ensure that the brace's straps are facing
4.Start with the longest strap – wrap it around the leg from the outside, across the brace, and secure it using the Velcro fastener. Make sure it's snug but not too tight.
Move on to the second strap, securing it in the same manner but slightly lower than the first strap.
Adjust the straps as needed to ensure a comfortable fit. You should be able to slide two fingers underneath the brace without it being too loose or too tight.
5.Gently guide your dog to stand up. Observe their movement and behavior to ensure they are comfortable and able to walk without difficulty.
If your dog seems uncomfortable or if the brace restricts their movement, loosen the straps slightly or reposition the brace.
6.Regularly inspect your dog's leg and the brace for any signs of irritation or discomfort. Remove the brace if you notice any redness or swelling.
Remove the brace before bathing your dog or allowing them to rest for extended periods.
