Instructions

1. Undo all Velcro fasteners on the knee brace stirrup straps and lower region of brace. 2. Gently slide the brace over the knee joint and pull firmly into place with the logo facing forward. 3. Stand your pet to wrap the stirrup straps into place above the hips. 4. Hook the suspender onto the chest halter (sold seperately), extra suspender on the double knee brace can be used for additional support. Machine wash warm and line dry.

My 14.5 year old samoyed, Calla, injured her cruciate at the beach. It was not a complete tear and she is too old for surgery, so I wanted to find a temporary solution until I could get her into doggie acupuncture. This brace worked pretty well and Calla never complained when I put it on her, so it must not have bothered her. I took it off at night, but about a month after she started using it, I noticed she had a rub rash on her belly so we stopped using it. She is continuing to improve, but I appreciated finding this solution as a stop-gap.

I was debating getting this or an option 1/2 the cost. Very glad I opted to get this. Good quality and my old man doesn’t mess with it so it’s been durable. He measured right at the smallest end of a large, so I ordered that, but could’ve done a medium and it would have fit well. The large is a little big, but I didn’t want to deal with the hassle of returning. For size reference, my dog is about 50lbs, medium sized Australian Cattle Dog (heeler).

My dog tore some ligament or something a year or so ago. The vets are uninterested in investigating it or doing much about it besides giving pain meds. But sometimes he overexerts himself and the limp gets really bad. I find this helps him not overextend the elbow for a while, and gives it time for the inflammation to die down, so I pull it out as needed. It was nice to find something like this as there are very few front leg products out there.
