My 6 YO dog had two surgeries to repair knee damage, so I needed vet approval before using this, and got it. For a short term solution until my dog healed, this added a good level of extra security for him. I would use this with vet approval only, because you never know when you can do more harm than good when using devices that you aren't familiar with. The quality was good, and it was adjustable as needed.

Great brace. Took my dog a little while to get used to. Seems to help her, even when not used every day. If your dog has hio or knee problems, i would recommend giving this a try before going the surgery route.

My Eskipoo (42 lbs) tore his rear right ACL...used this to support him prior to surgery...was great!!

Let me start by saying KindlyDog really cares about their customers. I ordered the wrong size and the owner(who personally responds to orders) sent me the correct size in a day. My 80lb 11 year old Pit Bull has torn ACLs in both back legs and this added support will help her as she simply will not just sit still as the vet says she should do(??) Surgery is not an option for me with a minimum of $2k per leg and then extensive physical therapy which in my household would not be possible at this time. I will say , depending on your own personal dogs temperament and pain tolerance, they can be difficult to put on as most dogs are not going to like a foreign object being placed on an already painful area. I have my daughter distract her with treats as I put on the braces. She is still adjusting to them as it is a different feel for her. I only leave them on for a few hours at a time as suggested, generally during outside time. She is still a very active dog and to try to make her just not play or walk as the vet suggests is a bit ridiculous. Now I can feel better knowing she has some support as we have another dog as well that is a playmate. This review was unsolicited and is completely my own.

My dog has had arthritis for a few years now and usually struggles a tiny bit but not bad for being 15. One day out of no where she was unable to use one of her back legs. She couldn't put any weight on it and was practically on 3 legs. I ordered this brace for her and it helped her so much immediately. She wore it for about a week and she was able to put pressure, run, and play again. She even seemed to enjoy wearing it and would run up to me when she saw me grab it. Great purchase and will most likely buy another for my other dog soon.

The stretchable foam is soft but it does not have any type of strong support bars or pockets on the inside to inserts plastic bars for retaining the leg from movement. Example is our dog 1 year old is having a issue where toner cap is popping out of place causing him to limp I can pop it back in he walks just fine. If I could have put a bar in the inside of support I believe it would keep his knee cap in place long enough to heal.

I use it when walking my dog to give him some extra stability since he tore his acl. Works as expected and seems comfortable.

I bought this brace for my dog that was limping due to a knee injury. The brace helped to immobilize the knee to decrease the pain while walking. The brace made it difficult for my dog to squat to urinate and defecate so we removed the brace once we reached our grassy yard to do her “business”, and then had to put the brace back on to slowly walk back to the house once her “business” was completed.

I would recommend more advanced care products for dogs with severe conditions, the products seem to be okay just not quite right for my dog.
