    Instructions

    Step 1: Introduction and Preparation

    1. Familiarize yourself with the components of the knee brace – straps, metal splint hinge, padding, and fasteners.
    2. Choose a quiet, comfortable area to assist your dog, minimizing distractions.

    Step 2: Preparing Your Dog

    1. Lead your dog to the designated area and create a soothing atmosphere. Use treats or gentle words to ease any anxiety.

Step 3: Applying the Knee Brace

    1. Carefully position the knee brace around your dog's injured leg. Ensure the metal splint hinge aligns with the knee joint for proper support.
    2. Gently secure the brace, ensuring the padded sections rest comfortably against the leg.

    Step 4: Adjusting the Straps

    1. Begin with the top strap – wrap it around the thigh area and fasten it with the provided fasteners. This strap offers stability.
    2. Proceed to fasten the bottom strap around the lower leg, ensuring a snug yet comfortable fit.

Step 5: Secure the Metal Splint Hinge

    1. Confirm that the metal splint hinge is aligned with the knee joint and moves naturally with your dog's leg.
    2. Some knee braces have adjustable hinges to control the range of motion. Refer to the manufacturer's instructions for guidance.

    Step 6: Observing and Assisting

    1. Assist your dog in standing and walking gently. Observe their behavior, making sure the brace doesn't hinder their movement.
    2. Support your dog's initial attempts to move and guide them if necessary.

    Step 7: Regular Monitoring

    1. Check your dog's skin and the brace for any signs of irritation, redness, or discomfort.
    2. Occasionally remove the brace to allow the skin to breathe and prevent chafing.

Step 8: Consultation with a Veterinarian

    1. Prior to using the knee brace, consult your veterinarian to confirm its suitability for your dog's ACL condition.
    2. Your veterinarian can provide advice on usage, adjustments, and complementing treatments.

    Step 9: Gradual Adaptation

    1. Give your dog time to adjust to the brace and the metal splint hinge. Some dogs may take time to get used to the support.
    2. Gradually increase the duration your dog wears the brace as they become more comfortable.

    Size measurement

Please do all measuring while the dog is standing. We recommended using a soft measuring tape. If you don't have one you may use a string and measure it with a ruler later.

Check the size chart to see the size corresponding to the size measured.

If your dog is in-betwen sizes, we recommend ordering the larger of the two sizes.

    Notice

The dog rear knee brace are equipped with a sternum strap and an adjustable connecting strap to fit the dog's body shape. The length of the back webbing can be adjusted at will, so that it is not easy to slip off the pet and provides better protection.

Dog leg braces for hind legs are soft and flexible, lightweight and durable to prevent unwanted skin friction.

If you have any questions, we are happy to help you.

Our Labrador tore the ligament in bother her knees and could barely walk. We couldnā€™t afford the 12k surgery so we opted for braces and praying she could heal enough to still have a decent quality of life. These braces saved the day! She spent about 6 weeks wearing them and is now able to walk on her own. Running is out, but the braces really helped her heal enough to walk and function well.

Absolutely thrilled with the Dog Knee Brace! My dog's ACL needed support, and this brace with the metal splint hinge has been fantastic. Noticed improvement in his stability and movement. Took some patience to get him accustomed, but it's been worth every bit for his recovery. Highly recommend for ACL support!
