    Instructions

    Step 1: Prepare the Brace

    1. Lay out the support brace on a clean surface and take a moment to understand its components – straps, buckles, and padding.

    Step 2: Prepare Your Labrador

    1. Choose a calm and quiet area where you can comfortably assist your dog. If your dog is anxious, offer treats and gentle reassurance.

Step 3: Applying the Support Brace

    1. Lift one of your Labrador's hind legs and gently place it into the corresponding side of the brace. Ensure the padded section is aligned with the leg.
    2. Repeat the process for the second hind leg, placing it into the other side of the brace.

    Step 4: Adjusting the Brace

    1. Position the brace so that the padded section cradles the hind legs comfortably and the straps are facing outward for fastening.
    2. Secure the brace by gently wrapping the longest strap around the back and connecting it with the buckle. Make sure it's snug but not overly tight.
    3. Move on to the other straps, adjusting their tension as needed to maintain a comfortable fit for your Labrador.

    Step 5: Observe and Assist

    1. Encourage your dog to stand up and take a few steps. Pay attention to their movement and comfort level.
    2. Assist your dog during the initial attempts to move, providing gentle guidance if necessary.

    Step 6: Monitor and Care

    1. Regularly check your dog's legs and the brace for any signs of irritation or discomfort. If you notice redness, swelling, or any adverse reactions, discontinue use and consult your veterinarian.
    2. Remove the brace before bathing your dog or allowing them to rest for extended periods.
    3. If you notice any adjustments needed to improve comfort or mobility, make the necessary modifications.

    Step 7: Professional Guidance

    1. It's important to consult your veterinarian before using any support brace on your Labrador. They can provide insights into your dog's specific needs and advise on how best to assist them.

    Size measurement

To determine the best size  for your pet, please measure your dog in a natural standing position and measure from 1” above the right stifle (knee) to the middle of the back. If in-between sizes, please select the size based on your dog’s weight range.

    • Carefully attach the dog leg brace on your dog's legs.
    • Turn by turn, fasten the four Velcros.
    • Perform the same procedure on the other leg.
    • To prevent the brace from slipping, fasten the buckle on the hip and arrange it so that the dog can wear it comfortably.
    • Place the fastening strap's buckle in place.
    • Circumambulate the chest and fasten the buckle on the opposite side.

    Notice

    • For up to 12 hours, wear the brace for 30 minutes per day at first, then an additional 30 minutes each day.
    • When your pet goes to sleep at night, remove the brace.
